Becoming a beautiful mother of the groom can be time-consuming. Most mothers of the groom find it very difficult looking for dresses to wear on the wedding day, that will complement the wedding theme and at the same time, suit their body sizes.
It is not necessary for mothers to lose weight just to look great on their son’s special day! Knowing the styles that flatter a woman’s figure and colors that create slimmer figures are the key to choosing great dresses for women who are beyond the usual sizes. With the numerous boutiques offering plus sizes with different styles and shades, mothers will now find it easy to look for a plus size mother of the groom dress.
Choosing the best plus size mother of the groom dress does not only involve the preferences of the mother; it will take into account the bride, the groom and the bride’s mother. On the wedding day, it is best to keep up with the wedding theme and not to be overly fashionable. Most mother of the groom dresses are formal but that does not mean that the styles are restricted.
Finding a dress that will make the mother of the groom look great and feel very comfortable is important to make this day memorable not only to the bride and groom, but to their families as well. The style of the dress for the mother of the bride must reflect her character and coordinate with the theme of the wedding. The dress of the mother’s groom and the mother’s bride are not required to be similar, but must completely blend with the colors of the flowers and gowns worn by the bridesmaids.
The length of the dress of the mother’s groom must be the same as the length of the dress worn by the mother’s bride. Formal weddings usually call for long, flowing gowns and knee-length dresses are more appropriate for ceremonies that are less formal. Elegance and style does not necessarily mean matronly dresses or pricey designer gowns for the mothers of the groom. Plus size dresses now come in high quality fabrics that suit a mother’s flair for fashion.
When choosing the color of the dress, make sure that the color is different from the bride’s gown. The intensity of the color must also be consistent with the chosen shades for the theme. If the color does not allow the mother’s groom to look her best, choosing gowns in neutral colors is the best alternative. The mother of the groom must dress for comfort, since she will be as busy as the bride and groom and will be getting almost the same attention from all the guests.
Finding shops where a groom’s mother can find a gown can now be done by simply searching over the world-wide web. The groom’s mother can browse for various styles and colors without thinking about the availability of the sizes that best fits her figure.
OUTRAGEOUS: Obama Administration Refuses to State Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel
Dear Friend of Israel,
Today, at the daily State Department press briefing, official State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland repeatedly refused to state that the Obama Administration recognizes Jerusalem a the Capital of of the State of Israel.
In answer to the question: “Is it the view of the – of the United States that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, notwithstanding the question about the embassy – the location of the U.S. embassy? Nuland said, “We are not going to prejudge the outcome of those negotiations, including the final status of Jerusalem.”
In other words, all of Jerusalem is up for grabs in the eyes of the Obama Administration.
And she refused to answer the question over and over again.
We have predicted that Jerusalem is in unprecedented danger at this time. This is proof.
I urge you to make a donation to One Jerusalem today so we can we can step up our defense of Jerusalem.
The Open type was a common injecting method used in earlier days. In an injection system, fuel from the tank goes to the combustion chamber, via a pump. The pump increases the pressure to convert the fuel into very particles. These fine particles evaporate more quickly and produce more power inside the combustion chamber. During the injection, the actual combustion starts when the fuel pressure is more than the pressure inside the combustion chamber. If the pressure is below the pressure inside the engine, a non return valve closes the passage, from where the fuel enters. Closing the passage may stop the injection process completely. Delivery pipe, which had been in earlier days, was short due to the space consideration inside the engine. Such system is totally dependent on the diameter and length of the delivery pipe, which often leads to problems like pre-ignition and after burning. So today, cars equip with closed type injector to overcome the disadvantages of the open type.
Close Injector:
In this type, the hydrostatic pressure is also considered for the opening and closing of the nozzle. There is a spring in the valve, which opens and closes according to the hydrostatic pressure. When the hydrostatic pressure, available at the valve is greater than the spring force, the valve opens. Opening of the valve also opens the passage to the nozzle. When the value of the hydrostatic pressure goes below some value, valve closes again and there is no fuel supply to the combustion chamber.
Nowadays, the close type also implements the sensors, which can react rapidly to changing inputs. It is also very sensitive to sudden acceleration and deceleration of the throttle. This increases the power output and performance of the engine, as well as provides economical savings. Due to these advantages, close type are widely used injectors nowadays.
Types of Nozzles
1. Single Hole: In this type, there is only a single hole at the center of the injector. Fuel injects into the combustion chamber through this hole. The fuel travels vertically downwards in such type of nozzle.
2. Multi Hole: In this type, there is more than one hole at the tip of the injector. The numbers of holes at the tip is depends on the many factors like size of the engine, power output of the engine. These types are widely used now days. It savings the fuel thereby increasing the power output.
This question assumes that people are victims caught in the vise of fate. But the Bible teaches that God in his goodness created a world of moral order in which Adam and Eve were free agents. By creating them in his image and likeness, God gave them a unique quality of relationship with each other and with him. God entrusted them with freedom. This freedom included the freedom to turn away from him, and unfortunately, that is what they did.
Even though God knew beforehand what Adam and Eve would do, he granted them the capacity to do as they chose. God condemns no one unjustly by causing anyone to sin. He is the judge of all the earth, and he will do right by everyone. He does not compel or coerce human creatures made in his image. Yet nothing can thwart his glory and grace.
Furthermore, God shows that he is “abounding in love and faithfulness” (Ex 34:6) by not leaving the human race in its sin. In Jesus Christ, the Creator graciously became the Redeemer. Through his death and resurrection, the way to eternal life has been opened to all who turn away from sin to follow him (see Jn 14:6).
March 19, 2012 The Beatitudes of Anger Management Part 1 Mary Southerland
Today’s Truth “In your anger, do not sin” (Ephesians 4:26).
Friend to Friend
Everyone has to deal with anger. The challenge is to deal with anger in the right way. Anger is powerful – an emotional warning that something is wrong. We have been hurt or rejected. Something has changed and we don’t like it!
Anger itself is not sin. We just have to learn to express anger in the right way. Mishandled anger is destructive but anger that is handled correctly can become a tool for good. God’s Word is filled with tips for learning to handle anger in a healthy and godly way.
Be still. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”
If we are busy, it is much easier to ignore or refuse to face and deal with the real source of anger. Anger that is not dealt with in the right way accumulates over time, allowing bitterness to take root and rage to simmer just below the surface of everything we do, say, think or feel. In order to manage anger, we need to incorporate frequent and regular “stops” into our schedules; time set aside to simply be still and hear the voice of God.
Be quiet. James 1:19-20 “Everyone should be slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.”
Our first response to conflict is often not a response at all … but a reaction. We jump in with a brutal rebuttal or a thoughtless correction – which is like pouring gasoline on a fire. An explosion is bound to happen. Our first action should be to stop and think instead of rushing to respond in a way that could escalate tensions or provoke an offensive response from others. Listen to the other person before responding. Try counting to ten before saying anything. This may not address the anger directly, but it can minimize the damage you will do while angry.
Be wise. Proverbs 25:28 “Like a city whose walls are broken down, is a man who lacks self-control.”
Wisdom is doing the right thing at the right time for the right reason. Anger management comes from wisdom rooted in self-control. I love the story of Jesus driving the money-changers out of His Father’s temple. In John 2:15 , Scripture says Jesus “made a whip out of cords.” Don’t miss this picture. At the height of His anger, Jesus gathered several cords and braided a whip. I imagine it took several minutes at least to form a whip substantial enough to drive grown men anywhere. I think Jesus was so angry that He knew He needed to cool off, so He deliberately chose to be still, quiet and wise. When we are close to losing control of anger, we need to be wise.
Be discerning. Psalm 4:4 “In your anger do not sin … search your hearts and be silent.”
The longer I work with people the more I realize that there is always a reason for their behavior. Hurt people – hurt people. When you are angry at someone, ask yourself why. Think back to what led up to the conflict. Was it something someone said to you? Has a past problem triggered your present anger? Give yourself time to consider why you are upset and what you should do to handle it in a way that pleases God.
God created us with the capacity for emotions. That means He has a right plan and a right place for emotions in our lives. Anger management is a spiritual discipline that God honors, blesses and empowers. Tomorrow, we will look at four more ways God gives us to control anger.
Let’s Pray
Father, please forgive me when I allow anger to control what I say and do. I want to honor You in the way I manage my emotions – especially the anger in my life. Fill my heart with Your peace. Help me cultivate the spiritual discipline of anger management and learn how to control my emotions instead of allowing them to control me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Now it’s your turn
Evaluate the level of anger in your life. Would people who know you well describe you as an angry person? Identity the source of your anger; then make the commitment to face and deal with whatever is causing your anger. Review each anger management tip. Which one jumps out at you as a starting point for learning to control anger in your life? Read and memorize the verse of Scripture listed with that tip. Pray – asking God to show you the steps you need to take today to manage the anger in your life. Record your thoughts and the truths God gives you in your journal.
I have a confession to make. Unlike the way liberals tell us we’re supposed to feel, I have never felt guilty for being white. Never. Sorry.
I have been told that, based on the fact that I am white in America, I have a natural advantage over people who are not. A statement like that is not only, to quote the adorable Janeane Garofalo, “racist, straight up,” but it is also patently untrue. White people have a natural advantage? Tell that to kids who are white who can’t get into the college of their choice because of affirmative action quotas. Better still, tell that to the white schoolkid in Kansas City who got doused with gasoline and set on fire while being told, “You get what you deserve, white boy.”
Was it true in the past that whites had an advantage? Yes and no. Many, maybe even most, whites did — but not all. However, it is very important to make this unambiguously clear: no rational person will deny that racial inequality, hatred, and destruction litter America’s history. It’s ugly and utterly shameful and disgusting.
But people today who think that somehow present-day white people must “pay” for America’s past sins are sadly mistaken. In any crime, it’s the one who perpetrated the crime who is prosecuted for it. I would suggest to those folks who view everything through “skin-colored glasses” (aka racists) that if they really want to correct the errors of the past, they need to get into a time machine and have at it.
Keep in mind, however, that fifty years from now people will want to correct our mistakes. Future folks will “know better” than we who are living life in present-day America. “How could they have done that?” they’ll say. “We wouldn’t have reacted like that.”
An example: In 2062, some people might ponder, “Why did folks in 2008 vote for a guy who clearly had no track record of governing? And whose political career was promoted by destructive anarchists? And why would the largest single voting bloc — Christians — vote for this guy who supported partial-birth abortion, whose pastor espoused the racist ‘Black Liberation Theology,’ and whose playbook, Rules for Radicals, was dedicated to ‘Lucifer’?”
(We can only hope that those same futurists won’t be discussing the even more horrifying event of “Why did those same folks, four years later, after an utterly destructive administration, re-elect this clearly ideologically driven fellow?”)
Many years back, during a cab ride shared with a pastor of a Manhattan church, I told the minister about my concern of “acceptable racism” springing up in his church. Several parishioners had started a “ministry” dedicated to racial equality. Their idea, basically, was to make the predominately white church become more sensitive to the struggles of “minorities.” The literature that they were dispensing, however, was from the Sojourners magazine and written by the Reverend Jim Wallis. It oozed the “white guilt” message. The pastor told me that these issues are like a pendulum — they swing too far one way, then they swing back again, until they eventually end up settling themselves out. He said that he figured in ten years everything would have smoothed over. (By the way, that cab ride was fifteen years ago.)
Out of respect for the pastor that day, I just listened to his explanation and nodded my head. He did, after all, make sense — well, sense for at least the time it took the cab to go thirty blocks, anyway. After getting out of the taxi, I thought about the fact that Christ is never described in the Bible as a pendulum, but as a Rock. The same goes for St. Peter. By extension, the church is not supposed to be a part of the world’s viewpoint, jumping aboard, swinging, and saying, “We’ll show you worldly people that Christians can live by your rules better than you can!”
No. A rock is a foundation. We stand on it. And when it comes to the issue of race and racism, St. Paul handled it sternly and emphatically some 2,000 years back. He challenged St. Peter himself regarding preferential racial treatment (see specifically Galatians 2:11-21), and spoke definitive words when addressing the issue: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28, among other places).
Christianity is not about groups being deemed “minorities.” It’s about individuals being set free. Many churches have forgotten that, and that is a real danger to this country founded upon Judeo-Christian tenets. If the church itself, which should know better, continues to follow the worldly example of separating people out by color of skin, there’s truly no hope left for us.
America is on the path of destruction via a very simple adage: divide and conquer. And when something like race continues to bea separating issue, how can we even dream of surviving much longer as a nation?
March 15, 2012 Are You Living Below the Bar? Sharon Jaynes
Today’s Truth
“So Mephibosheth ate at David’s table like one of the king’s sons” (2 Samuel 9:11 NIV).
Friend to Friend
Who is the world is Mephibosheth, and what possessed his momma to give him such a name? Well, I can’t answer the second question, but I can shed some light on the first. Mephibosheth was a man who was living way below his potential. He was the grandson of King Saul and the son of Prince Jonathan, but he lived like a pauper. When he was a little boy, his nurse dropped him while fleeing from their enemies. As a result, he was crippled in both feet (2 Samuel 9).
When David took over as King of Israel, he wanted to know if there was anyone in Jonathan’s household to whom he could show kindness. Jonathan had been David’s best friend, and he loved him as a brother. A servant told David about the crippled Mephibosheth, and he was summoned immediately. Mephibosheth lived in a place called Lo-Debar (meaning a pasture-less land).
My own (very unofficial) translation of Lo-Debar is “below the bar.” Mephibosheth was living below the bar. He was the grandchild of a king, but he was living in a pasture less land like a pauper. When he came before King David he said, “What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?”
David didn’t even answer him. He simply turned to his servant and commanded that all the land that had been Saul’s be given back to his grandson and that Mephibosheth should eat at the king’s table everyday.
Perhaps you are walking around like a crippled because of something that has happened to you as a child. Perhaps you feel like a “dead dog.” And yet, God is looking for ways to bless you, to restore what has been taken away, and invite you to feast at His table everyday. Mephiboseth was a grandchild of King Saul and potential heir to the throne. However, he saw himself as nothing more than a “dead dog,” unworthy to receive even the smallest crumb of kindness from David. David’s desire was to restore to Mephibosheth all the land that would have been his inheritance and invite him to feast at his table daily. Mephibosheth didn’t see himself as he really was. In reality, he was royalty. “A dead dog?” I think not!
Do you see yourself as you really are? You are a chosen, dearly loved, child of God. You have been blessed with every spiritual blessing, delivered from the domain of darkness and transferred to the kingdom of Christ! You, girlfriend, are a child of the King!
Let’s Pray
Dear Lord, so many times I walk around with an emotional limp like a wounded animal. But the truth is, I am a child of the King and I should act like one! Thank you for inviting me to feast at Your banquet table every morning by feeding my soul from Your Word and drinking in the Holy Spirit’s power. Today, I will not limp about, but run, jump, and even dance with the joy!
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Now It’s Your Turn
Be honest. Do you act more like the pitiful Mephibosheth or a powerful princess?
What mind adjustment do you need to make to start acting like a child of the King?
You have been invited to feast at His table and do so every time you open the pages of your Bible. Have you accepted His invitation?
It is one thing to read about culture warrior, Andrew Breitbart. It is another thing to see him in action. He had the unique ability to take his conservative philosophy into the streets, and he did not need a march or an occupy encampment to reinforce him.
